The Champion CT400 Carbide-Tipped Annular Cutters are engineered for ultra-deep, high-demand magnetic drilling applications where standard annular cutters cannot reach. With an impressive 4″ depth of cut, the CT400 series is designed for drilling thick structural steel, heavy plate, and stacked materials in industrial and construction environments.
Each CT400 cutter features precision-ground tungsten carbide teeth brazed onto a hardened steel body and utilizes Champion’s triple-edge cutting system. This advanced design delivers exceptional cutting speed, superior heat resistance, and dramatically longer tool life compared to HSS annular cutters—especially in stainless steel, cast iron, and high-strength alloys.
The annular cutting geometry removes only a thin ring of material, significantly reducing cutting force, heat buildup, and power demand while producing clean, burr-free holes. CT400 cutters are optimized for use with magnetic drill presses and compatible annular cutter arbors using pilot pins for accurate positioning and slug ejection.
