Champion CT150 Carbide-Tipped Annular Cutters for Magnetic Drills
The Champion CT150 carbide-tipped annular cutters are built for fast, accurate holemaking in demanding magnetic drilling applications. Designed with a 1-3/8" depth of cut, ultra-hard carbide teeth and a triple-edge cutting system, the CT150 series delivers clean, burr-free holes in steel, stainless steel, cast iron and tough alloy materials.
Compared to standard HSS annular cutters, CT150 carbide-tipped cutters are designed for longer tool life, faster cutting and improved performance in difficult materials. The annular cutting design removes only the outer ring of material instead of drilling the full hole diameter, helping reduce cutting pressure, heat buildup and machine load.
CT150 cutters are made for use with RotoBrute magnetic drill press systems and most standard mag drill setups that accept annular cutters. When used with the correct pilot pin, the cutter centers accurately and ejects the metal slug for productive, repeatable drilling.

Important Pilot Pin Note
CT150 annular cutters require the correct pilot pin for accurate centering, coolant flow and slug ejection. Pilot pins are sold separately unless specifically stated otherwise on the selected item or set.
Always use the correct arbor and pilot pin for your cutter size. Secure the magnetic drill base before cutting, apply proper lubrication and wear appropriate PPE. Cutting tools may shatter if misused or overloaded.
Champion CT150 Annular Cutter FAQ
What is the depth of cut on Champion CT150 annular cutters?
Champion CT150 carbide-tipped annular cutters have a 1-3/8" depth of cut, making them suitable for steel plate, structural steel and industrial magnetic drilling applications.
Are Champion CT150 cutters carbide tipped?
Yes. CT150 cutters feature ultra-hard carbide teeth brazed onto a steel cutter body for longer tool life and better performance in tough materials compared to standard HSS annular cutters.
What materials can CT150 annular cutters drill?
CT150 cutters are designed for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, tough alloys and exotic alloys.
Do Champion CT150 annular cutters include a pilot pin?
No. For individual CT150 cutters, the pilot pin is sold separately. Use the correct pilot pin for the selected cutter size.
Can CT150 cutters be used with magnetic drill presses?
Yes. Champion CT150 cutters are made for RotoBrute magnetic drill press systems and most other mag drill systems that accept annular cutters.
What is the advantage of carbide-tipped annular cutters over HSS cutters?
Carbide-tipped annular cutters generally provide longer tool life, faster cutting and better performance in harder materials such as stainless steel, cast iron and tough alloys.
Should I use cutting fluid with CT150 annular cutters?
Yes. Champion recommends using BruteLube cutting fluid or wax to improve heat resistance, cutting performance and tool life.
