Champion 798-1 #1 60° HSS Center Drill & Countersink | 1/8" Body x 3/64" Drill — Plain-Style Combined Drill for Machine Centers
The Champion 798-1 (#1) is an exact 1/8" body x 3/64" drill HSS center drill and countersink. Its integrated drill and 60° countersink produce a concentric center hole in one setup, helping prepare the ends of work held between centers on a lathe or machine center.
This plain-style combination tool combines drilling and countersinking without changing tools. The high-speed steel construction is suited to repeatable center-hole work in production, fabrication, maintenance and general machining applications where accurate alignment and a clean conical seat are required.

Applications
Use this Champion 798-1 center drill for producing center holes in the ends of shafts and other work held on machine centers. It is also suitable for lathe work, drill presses, Bridgeport-style machines, production drilling, fabrication, assembly and maintenance involving flat-head or center-hole geometry.
Why Use a Combined Center Drill?
The integrated HSS drill and countersink keeps the pilot hole and 60° conical seat aligned in a single operation. This helps reduce tool changes, improve repeatability and create a clean starting point for turning between centers or seating a compatible center.
Secure the workpiece, use the correct speed and feed for the material, apply suitable cutting fluid when required and wear appropriate eye protection. Cutting tools may shatter if misused; follow the machine and tool manufacturer's instructions.
