The AC42 is built for five cutting operations in one magnetic drill press. It can be used with annular cutters, twist drills, reamers, taps, and countersinks, making it a practical choice for users who need more flexibility than a basic mag drill. It accepts standard annular cutters with a 3/4" Weldon shank.
Variable Speed Mag Drill with Reverse for Tapping
Powered by an 1100W motor, the Champion AC42 features 225–450 RPM variable speed with reverse, making it especially useful for tapping operations. It offers up to 1" twist drill capacity and 3/4" tap capacity, giving fabricators, contractors, and maintenance crews a strong all-around magnetic drill for demanding metalworking jobs.
Portable Champion Mag Drill for Jobsite & Shop Use
At only 29 lb, the AC42 VariBrute is portable enough for jobsite and shop use while still delivering 3800 lb of magnetic strength. It includes a carrying case, quick release arbor, drill/chuck adaptor, tap chuck, coolant tank assembly, safety guard, safety strap, and hex key. A rare case where “portable” does not mean “weak little toy.”
