CGW RA Ruby vitrified wheels use a tough, sharp, friable ruby aluminum oxide abrasive for high material removal and strong form holding. CGW recommends them for rough grinding of tool steels, including steels with high chromium content. Select grit, grade, diameter, thickness and bore for the machine, material and intended finish.
The range includes Type 1 straight wheels and Type 7 double-recessed wheels. Match recess geometry, flanges, mounting and guarding to the wheel. Follow CGW instructions and actual wheel markings for maximum operating speed, balancing and dressing. Selling multiples vary by reference; prices are per wheel.
