The Champion XG12-5/8 is a heavy-duty black and gold HSS Silver & Deming drill bit for producing large-diameter holes in steel, stainless steel, cast iron and other tough alloys. This individual drill is the exact 5/8" size, making it a dependable choice for structural steel fabrication, machine shops, industrial maintenance and metalworking applications.
Champion's functional Black & Gold surface treatment retains cutting lubricant on the drill surface to reduce friction, manage heat and extend tool life. The precision-ground 118° self-centering split point starts holes accurately with less walking. The 1/2" three-flatted reduced shank provides a secure grip in compatible chucks and helps prevent slipping under high torque.
