The Champion DT22HEX 5/16-18 HSS Hex Shank Drill & Tap Combination combines drilling and tapping in one operation for National Coarse (NC) threads. It is the exact 5/16-18 size for producing a thread-ready hole without changing from a drill to a separate tap.
Built for impact drivers and quick-change chucks, this DT22HEX tool features a 135° self-centering split point, extended drill-and-tap flutes and a black-and-gold surface treatment. Use it for threading steel, stainless steel, aluminum, bronze, cast iron, sheet metal and other common metalworking materials.
