Champion X1-9 Spiral Flute Screw Extractor | 1-3/4" to 2-1/8" Bolt — Left-Hand Spiral Extraction
The X1-9 is a Champion X1 heavy-duty spiral-flute screw extractor sized for broken fasteners from 1-3/4" to 2-1/8". Its tapered spiral flutes tighten into the drilled hole as counterclockwise torque is applied, helping remove broken screws, bolts, studs and pipe fittings.
Drill a centered 1-1/16" pilot hole, insert the extractor and turn counterclockwise with a tap wrench, T-handle or adjustable wrench. The left-hand rotation and aggressive spiral profile are designed for controlled extraction of rusty, seized, sheared or overtightened right-hand threaded parts. Penetrating oil may help with corrosion.

How to Use This Spiral-Flute Extractor
Center-punch the broken fastener, drill only to the recommended pilot-hole size, then insert the X1-9. Turn counterclockwise using controlled hand-tool torque so the spiral flutes can bite and lift the fastener out. Do not use an impact driver; wear eye protection and follow safe extraction practices.
Always drill the recommended pilot hole before inserting the extractor. Cutting tools and broken fasteners may cause injury if misused.
